Plain English

By using Sermon Transcription, you agree to these terms. We try to keep them short and reasonable. If anything is unclear, email hello@sermon-transcription.com.

The service

Sermon Transcription converts audio you upload into text using OpenAI Whisper (Standard tier) or ElevenLabs (Premium tier). The first 10 minutes per transcription are free. Audio above 10 minutes is billed at $0.006/min (Standard) or $0.02/min (Premium).

Your content

You own the audio you upload and the transcripts you receive. We do not claim any rights to your sermons. You must have legal rights to upload the audio (your own sermons, sermons you have permission to transcribe, public-domain content, etc.).

Acceptable use

Don't use Sermon Transcription to:

• Upload content you don't have rights to.
• Transcribe content for harassment, defamation, or other illegal purposes.
• Bypass the free-tier limits via fake emails or other abuse.
• Reverse-engineer or scrape the service.

Refunds

If a transcript is materially inaccurate due to a service failure (not audio quality issues you control), email us within 7 days and we'll refund the charge for that transcript.

Service availability

We aim for 99.5% uptime but don't guarantee it. Sermon Transcription depends on OpenAI and ElevenLabs APIs, and may be temporarily unavailable if either has an outage.

Liability

Sermon Transcription is provided "as is." To the maximum extent allowed by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the previous 12 months. We are not liable for indirect damages.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll update the "Last updated" date and notify subscribers about substantive changes.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas.
