What we collect

When you use Sermon Transcription, we collect:

• Email address — to deliver your transcript and gate the free 10-minute tier.
• Audio you upload — sent to OpenAI Whisper (Standard tier) or ElevenLabs (Premium tier) for transcription, then deleted from our processing servers within 24 hours.
• Transcript output — emailed to you and not retained on our servers after delivery.
• Standard analytics — page views, referrer, browser, country (anonymized).

What we do with it

Audio is processed solely to generate your transcript. We do not train models on your audio. We do not sell your data. We do not share your transcripts with third parties. Email addresses are used to deliver transcripts and (with your opt-in) occasional product updates.

Third parties

Sermon Transcription uses these processors:

• OpenAI — Whisper transcription engine (Standard tier). OpenAI does not retain audio for training under the API tier.
• ElevenLabs — Audio Intelligence transcription (Premium tier).
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Beehiiv — newsletter delivery (if you opt in).
• Vercel — application hosting.
• Upstash Redis — encrypted free-tier token storage.

Your rights

You can request deletion of your email and any associated free-tier tokens by emailing hello@sermon-transcription.com. We will respond within 7 business days. For EU users, this includes GDPR rights to access, rectification, erasure, and portability.

Cookies

We use minimal cookies for analytics and session state. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Children

Sermon Transcription is intended for adults and church staff. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Changes

When this policy changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and email subscribers about substantive changes.
